2009 Cardiovascular Fellowship Training at UVa

The University of Virginia Health Sciences Center has a strong commitment to excellent patient care, teaching and clinical and basic research.  A new University of Virginia hospital opened in 1989. This facility includes modern spacious clinical laboratories, patient care units, Fellow work areas and the Paul D. Camp Heart Teaching Center.  Research facilities are extensive and include laboratories for large animal surgery, cellular electrophysiology, smooth muscle research and animal catheterization.

Clinical Training Fellowship Programs offered:

Our mission to provide exemplary patient care and to train exceptional academic cardiologists is accomplished by our Clinical Training Programs, including the Cardiovascular Disease, Electrophysiology, and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Programs. We further our mission by offering Physician-Scientist Research Training Programs in cardiovascular biology and cardiac imaging and Graduate Coursework Opportunities for physicians seeking additional post-doctorate education.
